ClearElect uses AI to translate candidate positions, public statements, and official records into plain English. Every summary is sourced — you'll see exactly where the information came from. The AI doesn't editorialize, endorse, or take sides. It summarizes.

Local race data can be incomplete, especially for small elections. If a candidate is missing, it usually means no public information is available yet. We're continuously expanding our data coverage. You can also use the Ask AI feature to ask questions directly.

Value Match will show you how closely a candidate's positions align with your own priorities. It's coming in November 2026 — we're building it carefully to make sure the scoring is genuinely fair and nonpartisan.

No account is required to use ClearElect. We use your zip code to show your ballot and don't store it. We use Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns, but we don't sell data and we don't track individuals.

Not directly — but 73% of eligible Americans are already registered. Excellent tools like Vote411 and BallotReady handle registration. ClearElect picks up from there, helping registered voters actually show up informed.

Your local county clerk or board of elections website is the most reliable source. Many states also offer polling locators at their official election authority website. We'll be adding direct links to official election resources soon.

We respect those platforms — they've done incredible work. ClearElect is different in a few ways: we use AI to generate plain-language summaries (not just raw data), we work even when candidates haven't submitted questionnaires, and we're optimized for the 100 million Americans who don't vote — people who need a fast, clear answer, not a research project.
